Here is a short list of links for improving your experience of writing on Medium.
1. Easy way to contribute to publications
Smedian is a great way to apply as a contributor to publications. The easiest way to apply is to press the green Contribute button.
If there is no Contribute button, you should look for more information on the publication’s page. Some of them have a public section with rules and info about how to submit your articles.
2. Earning reports
Here is a collection of earning reports:
December 2018 — Earning My First $10K on Medium
January 2019 — What I learned by earning my first $6.58 on Medium
September 2019 — My Medium Earnings Are Up to $67.64 This Month
September 2019 – Medium Earnings Survey — September
3. Tool for sharing your own stories
ManyStories is another way to share your stories. You can add an article here even if it’s already published in a Medium publication. It’s a good way to reach more people.
4. Twitter tool
PenSignal is an auto-tweet your articles on repeat in order to grow your traffic. You can also increase twitter engagement by joining Signal beacons. They are organized by topic. Currently I did not see many people using it, but for sure it’s a tool to keep it in mind both for now and for the future.
5. Publication with tips about writing
Blogging guide is a great publication for more tips & tricks about how to use Medium or just about writing and blogging in general.
6. Facebook groups
You can join multiple Facebook groups for Medium writers. Just make sure you don’t spam them when trying to promote your stories. They are communities, not marketing channels. Joining them is a great way to interact with people, share your experiences and learn.
I hope this list was helpful for you.
